The art form of music video is still alive and well in our culture today. Stronger than ever with online sites like Vevo and YouTube, music videos continue to create buzz for artists both established and new to the industry. John Ondo of Ondo Media, a Columbus Ohio video production company, was proud to collaborate with several Central Ohio artists to produce a new music video for Cedric Easton of BeatOne productions.
Easton and Ondo were approached by The McConnell Arts Center of Worthington to create an original song and video that will feature their new slogan “Where Inspiration Lives”. Easton, a percussionist as well as writer and composer, created and performed the lead vocal for the jazz influenced song “Inspire Me”.
“This was the first jazz-based music video I’ve directed, and being a lover of blues and jazz I was thrilled to work on this piece.”
After the song was recorded, John Ondo, who is a filmmaking instructor at the McConnell Arts Center, came in and shot the music video in an afternoon in February. The music video debuted at an event at the McConnell, later in March. “This was a real honor for us to work with Cedric and his team,” said Ondo. “This was the first jazz-based music video I’ve directed, and being a lover of blues and jazz I was thrilled to work on this piece.”
The song and video will be featured in upcoming promotions for the McConnell Arts Center.
